About AF
Institutional evolution of the AF model
How AF's capability set developed — from process engineering to digitization, integration, automation and orchestration. This page describes verified capability transitions, not a dated corporate chronology.
Capability transitions
Each stage was added because the previous one exposed a new limit
The sequence below is cumulative: nothing was replaced. Process understanding still precedes automation, and automation still ends in a governed production operation.
01 · Starting point
Process engineering
AF's work begins with understanding how an operation actually runs: activities, volumes, controls, exceptions and the decisions that determine results. This discipline — process design and measurement before technology — remains the basis of every engagement today.
02 · Transition
Digitization of documents, cases and records
As operations moved off paper, the requirement changed from storing files to controlling cases: classification, retention, correspondence, case-file continuity and demonstrable evidence. That need is reflected today in AF's document and case management capability and in the Intelligent SGDEA offering.
03 · Transition
Systems and data integration
Digitized processes exposed a harder problem: enterprise and legacy systems that do not talk to each other. AF's response was integration rather than replacement — connecting existing platforms and data so a single process can run across them.
04 · Transition
Automation, robots and AI agents
With processes designed and systems connected, execution could be delegated: workflow for the flow itself, software robots for repetitive high-volume work, and AI agents for knowledge-intensive steps — always constrained by process rules, permissions and traceability.
05 · Today
Orchestration and an integrated ecosystem
AF Global today operates as the corporate coordinator of an ecosystem: specialized operating companies, its own platforms and products, and strategic partners. AF Global remains the accountable counterpart to the client, orchestrating people, processes, data, systems, bots and AI agents into governed operating flows that reach production.
A note on this page
AF Global does not publish founding dates, acquisition or merger dates, headcount, client counts, revenue figures, project counts or award claims on this page. Only capability transitions that can be demonstrated in AF's current operating model and published offerings are described here. Verified corporate facts will be added as they are formally approved for publication.
